ST MARY’S

Clyde visited us last Pilgrimage Saturday to perform The Disciple Who Remembered the Storm. Part 1: Using the idea of Jesus sleeping on a cushion on the fishing boat, we created movement around the concept of referencing the storm as our point of fear and the large-scale cushion as Jesus carrying our burdens to the cross. We invited people to give their burdens to Jesus. Part 11, Clyde freestyled as if emmersed in the waves. Part 111, he pushed through to a place of calm fluid waters after silencing the storm and finally, came the healing section, where he danced with the oil, used it and anointed those watching.
St Mary’s, fondly known as Top Church’, has been serving Mold and beyond since 1490 – and prior to this, places of worship were built where she now stands. Currently led by Rev Canon Martin Batchelor and his team, St Mary’s is experiencing a wonderful time of change and new growth. Our expressions of worship are becoming increasingly diverse, and we are in the process of developing our already stunning building-all of which is exciting. Meanwhile, the spirit of St Mary’s remains accepting, gentle, fun, and peaceful…
Whatever your background, or beliefs, there is a warm welcome for you here. You maybe interested in St Mary’s as a place of interest – even become involved – but if you simply want to rest, take time out, chat over a coffee, or are struggling more deeply, please do drop in or contact us. We’d love to hear from you…
